Cardio Exercises are great for you. Simple as that. It doesn’t need any more explanation or selling to you. While you are sitting there reading this you are probably telling yourself that you ought to be doing some. You imagine what you would look like had you started cardio exercises a week or month or year ago. You imagine your spouse drooling over you again. Or maybe that cute girl that got your super mocha choco double insano caffeine blaster this morning would want to date you.

Enough with the imagery. Why haven’t you started your cardio exercises yet? Not enough time, too busy at work, don’t have the equipment, hate exercise, it attracts flies. Anyway. None of the above excuses are legitimate. The problem is you just haven’t started.

That’s what we need to do. Start small. Don’t say, “I am going to start doing 5 miles a day of walking or jogging”. Instead start by doing a light jog up and down your street each morning. It’s great for mind and body. And never ever say I am going to start next week. It won’t happen. From now on you consider jogging as part of your morning ritual.

Are you in your office right now? How come you are not working then? Just kidding. Maybe you could walk to lunch today instead of getting delivery or driving the short distance.

Invest in a home workout program. They are very inexpensive and yours forever. Plus once you’ve paid for it, you will have to use it. If you don’t then it was a waste of money.

Get some inspiration working for you too. If the coffee shop girl is enough to inspire you, use that. Maybe you want to look better in your business suit when giving a presentation. It doesn’t matter but if you have some inspiration or “leverage” for yourself you will succeed.

Anyways the point is, you know cardio exercises are great for you and it’s better to start sooner than later. So start now not tomorrow or next week. Right now. That way in 2 months you won’t be saying “Oh yeah I was going to start my cardio exercises. Maybe tomorrow”.

How do we get six-pack abs. doesn’t it seem like everyone wants them? There are a couple of things to do. I can’t tell you what everyone in the world does I can only tell you what worked for.

A few years ago I decided that I no longer wanted to be fat. I wanted to look better, but more importantly I wanted to feel better. So I figured I would do some sit-ups and after a while I would be all set.

Wrong!

First of all you can’t spot erase. Spot erasing is thinking like I did. Just do some exercises for a specific area and be done with it. It doesn’t work. You need an overall system to achieve this goal.

Step 1. You got to get some sort of cardio exercises going. Even if you don’t do a “cardio workout”, there are things you can do. How many people have you seen drive around a parking lot for 10 minutes trying to park close as possible? Park a little further away from the store and have a quick walk.

Spend more time walking to places instead of driving around everywhere. Take a look around and appreciate your neighborhood as you do. Go for a jog or play some sort of sport a couple times a week. All this will help to burn more fat and make your ab exercises more effective.

Step 2. You have to make some adjustments to your diet. I did. You don’t have to completely change your diet. Take one or two fattening things out of your life to start. Maybe the coffee you buy with the espresso and whipped crème and hot fudge can take a rest. Have a cup of plain coffee. Or better have a cup of green tea. Change your soda that you have with lunch for juice or water. After you have done these changes, then you will get some motivation behind you and you will want to take it a step further.

This is just the beginning and it is only meant to get you started. It’s what I did and yeah it was a little tough at times, but I got results and that’s what matters. Keep at it; you will get more and more inspired as you start to see your six-pack abs coming in.

How to Get Rid Of Love Handles - Motivating Yourself to Exercise

When you are trying to learn how to get rid of love handles, you have to learn to exercise. This is tough if you are like me. I just don’t really like to do it. I feel better when I do, but getting started can nightmare for me. I just don’t enjoy it. But I love the benefits of it so I do it anyway. Yeah sometimes I miss a week but after that I get angry with myself and get back to it.

I have learned how to motivate myself and I want to share what I have learned with you. So here’s what works for me. I bet it will help you get motivated too.

  • Have a variety. If I have to do the same stuff day in and day out I lose interest and then all motivation. After that all the work I put into figuring out how to get rid of love handles is out the door. As my Dad always says “variety is the spice of life”. So make sure you have something like Workout Pass (click here) to make absolute sure that you will not fail due to boredom
  • Don’t ever say, “I will start next week”. You may as well just say, “ I am never going to lose weight”. If you allow yourself to procrastinate and give false start dates nothing will ever get done. So start today, start right now. Don’t even say, “I will start when I get home”. As of right now you are someone who is going to lose those love handles. Tony Robbins says something to the degree of “Whenever you decide to do something or set a goal, take at least one action right then”. So buy a book on exercise or diet or motivation, get the number of a local gym, or get a low fat recipe that you are going to cook tonight. Whatever it is do it right now and you will set this goal in motion. Please, take at least one action this very moment.
  • Also, very important. Focus on the RESULT of the exercise you are going to do. Visualize a thinner you. Take a minute and really, really do this. By focusing on the result you are many times more likely to stick to an exercise goal you set for yourself. Remember our goal isn’t simply to exercise; it’s to enjoy the results we get from exercising. You know, something like fitting into an old pair of jeans that were hanging in the closet.

Did you ever see the Special K commercial about the daughter wearing the mom’s cool old jeans? The daughter says “Cool jeans, you used to fit into these”? The poor mom has this look on her face that just says she is going to relive that question all day and wonder what happened to make her not fit those pants anymore. The daughter walks by in the pants a few times during the commercial and the mom has the “I wish I could wear those again” look. So she loses some weight and by the end of the commercial the mom takes the jeans back and wears them out somewhere. She has this amazing look of pride on her face as she goes out the door in her old jeans. Setting and achieving goals, one of the best things in life.

With any goal you need to visualize yourself reaching the goal to get it done. Imagine you had to go buy all new clothes because you lost weight and your current wardrobe is too big. How about that? That may send you daydreaming for a while. Anyways, the point is really getting a clear picture in your head of you without those love handles.

How to Get Rid Of Love Handles - Changing my Diet

The way I figured out how to get rid of love handles was make a decision that I long longer wanted them. It was as simple as that. But in a way it was really hard. I didn’t have anything to go by. And I hate exercising. There’s 2 strikes right there. And if that wasn’t enough, I love pizza and pasta and donuts. Not good.

I really hated it when I would sit down and could feel my stomach was sticking out or jiggle when I walked down stairs. Just thinking about it still makes me uncomfortable. Some people would even poke me in the stomach as a joke. I hated that too. And I REALLY hated when my love handles would hang over my pants!

So I decided I was going to learn how to get rid of love handles once and for all. My first priority was to get into better eating. My diet was not horrible, but again I loved pizza and that wasn’t helping. So I went for a more fruit and vegetable based diet. At first, I felt kind of weird almost like I should be eating more but I wasn’t hungry. I would have maybe a cantaloupe and a banana for breakfast, then for a morning snack I would have some type of juicing recipe. For lunch I would usually have a salad. An afternoon snack would be my apple. Supper would have to be something sensible like a piece of meat and a salad. I have to warn you though, I did feel weird for a few days at first, then I stated to feel amazing.

This may be a little extreme for some people but I really wanted to know how to get rid of love handles and I was going to try this. And good news, it worked. After a while people started mentioning that I had lost weight and my mother said I looked real good. Maybe she is supposed to say that!

Today I feel better than ever. I eat better and look better. Now I like to look around and find good juicing recipes and food recipes.
